Compco Industries, a leading industry supplier of ASME and Non-Code tank heads, is proud to announce the addition of key personnel to their team. In their pursuit of constant never-ending improvement, Compco has acquired two new team leaders, each with extensive experience in the manufacturing sector. With the addition of Mike Deutschlander and John Higgins, Compco seeks to improve efficiency and productivity on the shop floor.
Mike Deutschlander will serve as Compco VP of Manufacturing. He is a resident of Canfield Ohio, having been born and raised in Youngstown Ohio. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Malone College in 2000. Mike's experience in the manufacturing sector includes fifteen years in the defense industry for General Dynamics and ten years for American Standard, serving as Plant Manager, North American Project Manager and Director of Global Technology. He also spent three years with American Pad and Paper as Director of US Operations. Mike holds a Six Sigma Blackbelt certification and is Lean Certified from the University of Tennessee. He has held positions in manufacturing, scheduling and technology in multiple plants in various countries. Mike's vision is to bring operational excellence to Compco Industries. "Compco is poised to take the next step by implementing advanced business systems and lean manufacturing methodology in order to be a superior supplier to our customers and a great partner to our vendors", states Mr. Deutschlander.
John Higgins will act as Compco's Scheduling Manager. As a lifelong resident of East Liverpool Ohio, he is a graduate of ITT Technical Institute of Youngstown, having received his associate degree in Commercial Drafting Engineering Technology in 1993. His experience in manufacturing includes twelve years as a production supervisor and production control manager. John has worked for several years in the pressure vessel industry as a materials scheduler. His goals at Compco Industries are to help establish new systems and improve planning and production which will result in better on-time delivery for their customers. The arrival of key manufacturing personnel comes as Compco is expanding within the industry through the use of new machinery and additional product capabilities.
